IsoTec EC 68 HT – High-Temperature Ester for E-Motors

Synthetic polyol ester (ISO VG 68) for immersion cooling and bearing lubrication of highly loaded electric motors – with an additive package against oxidation and polymerisation.

What is IsoTec EC 68 HT?

IsoTec EC 68 HT is the high-temperature version of IsoTec EC 68. It is designed for drives with higher thermal loads: high power density, hot spots on windings and bearings, and thin fluid films on hot surfaces. An additive package slows oxidation and the polymerisation of the fluid into varnish and deposits.

Why fluids age faster at high temperatures, and which design measures help, is explained in Temperature limits of e-motor cooling fluids.

Applications

  • Axial-flux and radial-flux traction motors with high continuous load
  • Immersion-cooled stators and windings with high hot-spot temperatures
  • Rolling-element bearings in high-speed drives
  • Power electronics immersion cooling

Qualification for your drive

Our laboratory tests material compatibility with enamels, insulation, seals and magnets, and tracks oxidation, acid value and viscosity under conditions close to your application.
